About Romsey
A thriving market town in Hampshire
Romsey is a thriving market town in Hampshire, situated about 8 miles northwest of Southampton, 11 miles southwest of Winchester and 18 miles southeast of Salisbury. The town is known for its 11th century Romsey Abbey, the medieval King John’s House, Lord Mountbatten’s stately home of Broadlands, and the beautiful River Test.
There’s plenty to see and do in Romsey besides the Beggars Fair! In addition to the venues we use, there are many other establishments throughout the town to eat and drink. A walk down to Memorial Park and onwards to Sadler’s Mill and the River Test beyond on a sunny day is an absolute must.
