Venue Accessibility
Thanks to improvements in 2019, the centre of Romsey is now a virtually kerb-free environment, with smoother and wider pavements. It’s very easy to traverse across the road from one pavement to the other. During Beggars Fair, all the roads in the middle of town are closed to through traffic.
As you will see below, the majority of our venues are accessible for those festival goers in wheelchairs or with mobility issues. There are a few with steps, thanks to the Georgian and Victorian builders.

Venues With Steps
Cocky Anchor

Disabled Parking
Disabled parking is suspended in Church Place and The Hundred.
Blue badge holders may park for free in any TVBC all-day car park for three hours, but must display a clock card showing arrival time.
Memorial Park is all level access, but there is very limited parking in that area.
Accessible Toilets
Accessible toilets are available at the Memorial Park and at Romsey Bus Station, as well as in many of the indoor venues. A Changing Places toilet is available in Romsey town centre, in Church Place SO51 8AQ. Full details can be found here (note: as it is newly-opened in June 2026, it is not yet listed on the Changing Places website). An additional Changing Places facility is located at the Romsey Rapids sports complex, approximately half a mile from the town centre.
